Matt is now 7, Luke is 4. My boys are growing so fast! They are so smart and really bring joy to our family. They will always be my babies. :)
This is my journey as God's servant, wife to Dada Jay, and Mimi to Matt, Luke and everyone else... (",)

Lukie and Friends
Being a stay-at-home Mimi now gives me the time to fetch Luke from school. He is now in Kinder 1, very smart and quite naughty at times. I ride in his school service going home so I get the chance to witness the fun he has with his "service" mates.
It such a joy seeing him enjoy the company of his friends. Kakakulit nila. :)

The Many Things I Love About Luke
I remember having written something like this for Matthew. He was 2 years old, 8 months then. Buti na lang, I wrote something like that, di ko na actually matandaan lahat ng sinulat ko dun.
Now that Lukee is 2 years and 4 months old, I would like to do the same thing for him. Mahirap na, nagiging makakalimutin na ko, hehe!
Here are the many things I love about Luke:
1. He is a very independent boy. He can sleep on his own. Last week, I brought him and Matthew to my office without Yaya. This was my first attempt to do that. When Luke was finally sleepy, he just asked for his milky then slept on his improvised bed under my desk.

2. I'm sure Luke would grow up to be a very intelligent boy. He amazed us when was able to identify the letters of the alphabet at 1 year and 8 months old. Now he can count and knows the colors and shapes. He is ready for school. When we ask him if he wants to go to school already, he says, "yes!." So we are enrolling him to MSA Playcamp anytime soon. Dada and I sometimes wonder if he is really just two years old, hehe!

3. He likes to read and read a lot. Ako na ang sumusuko as in! I don't have to tell him, "let's read!."

4. Before he was able to talk completely, his favorite phrase was "tsope, tsope, nyome, nyome, epiza..." which we still don't know up to now what he meant by that.
5. At around one year old, he suddenly did not want to wear diapers anymore at home. He only wears diapers at night and when we go out. He tells when he wants to pee. Ang laking tipid sa diapers. (",)
6. We were surrprised that before turning two years old, he was able to talk and express himself both in English and Filipino. Nakakatuwa how he tried his best to talk in complete sentence. Galing!
7. He loves to dance with matching tumbling pa.
8. He loves bowling, the real one and the computer game. Hindi ako makagamit ng laptop madalas kasi gusto niya mag-bowling!
9. He is our prayer leader when we eat. "Lord, thank you for the food, amen!"
10. He attended Sunday School before turning two. Yaya says he is more behaved than Kuya Matt and participates more. Hehe!
11. I'm teaching him phonics now. He always asks, "mimi what's the (beginning) letter of this or that?" He'd say" a-a-a apple or b-b-b ball.
12. When he wants to go out at night, we'd tell him, it's dark na, it's night na. And he would repeat that all over again. "Gabi na, night na." SM is closed, Robinsons is closed.
13. His favorite shows are Barney, Wiggles, High 5, Wonder Pets, Gabba Gabba, Backyardigans, Dora and Diego.
14. Kuya Matt is afraid of the dark. When Kuya wants to go to the CR at night, we will ask Luke to accompany him.

15. Surprisingly, he eats veggies! And is not much into sweets except ice cream.
16. Like Matthew, he is so sweet and malambing. He would kiss me a lot even if I'm wearing lipstick, then he would say, "wala na , mimi." Wala na ang lipstick ko kasi napunta na sa kanya! He would also hold my lips in between his thumb and index fingers (just like how you hold your burger), and kiss me a lot. Oh, how i love that!
17. Repeat no. 1.

His first Starbucks.

Amazing Luke
Jay and I are so amazed with our second son, Luke. At 1 year and 8 months, he can now identify and pronounce most letters of the alphabet!

One day when we went to a dental clinic where there were rubber mats with pull-out alphabet letters, we were surprised that Luke would show and tell us what letter he was holding.

Luke actually showed early signs of love for reading and studying. He would often get a book and would ask me or Dada to read to him. He also loves to watch educational videos like Brainy Baby. He actually knows how to operate the DVD player. He loves to use his sketch board and would often ask me or Dada to draw for him.

My mom-in-law recounts that before Jay turned 2 years old, he could also recognize the alphabet but unlike Luke, he still had a difficulty pronouncing.

We feel really blessed!

Luke's Dedication

Luke was dedicated to our Lord last November 17. A dedication is a Christian ceremony in which we, parents, make a commitment before the Lord to submit our child to God's will and to raise him according to God's Word and God's way. Luke was of the same age when Kuya Matt was dedicated that was why Kuya Matt's suit then fitted him also this time.
The dedication was a simple gathering of friends, family and relatives. Luke has 5 pairs of ninongs and ninangs.
I also surprised Dada Jay with a special AVP of greetings from artistas, haha! It was his birthday last Nov 19 and he had a very showbiz birthday celebration! I also gave him Edu Manzano's dance album personally autographed by Edu himself, hehe!

Who's Who?
Presenting the look-alikes...

Would you be able to tell who's Matt and who's Luke?

The first in the 2 pairs of pictures is Luke. He resembles Kuya Matt a lot!
Luke has finally arrived last April 12. He was God's perfect gift to us because it was also our 4th Wedding Anniversary the exact day he was born.
We were thinking to go to Enchanted Kingdom that day. Jay has 3 free tickets. Since Monday last week, we were always out strolling as we await the big day. But oh, I was in the labor room 7am because of super painful contractions.
I attempted for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). Luke was in head-down position in the last utrasound. I labored for 10 hours but dilated up to 6 cm only. Luke was a big baby (like Kuya Matt) and although my xray pelvimetry revealed that my pelvic diameter has adequate dimension, his head did not engage in my pelvic inlet (like Kuya Matt). Oh well, I guess I'm always meant for a CS hehe. God has planned for that to happen because it would be safer for me and my babies. (",)
Thanks to those who prayed for my safe delivery. We will begin another chapter in our family.

Our Luke is Very Active!
Luke has always been on head-down position (cephalic). But these past few weeks, he is making a tour of my uterus! 2 weeks ago, at 35 weeks, he was found to be of breech presentation. The week after, my OB could sense that he was head-down again. Last week, my doctor sensed he was breech again. So it's like every week, during check-ups he changes position. We kind of worry because based on his 4D ultrasound before, he had loose cord coil.
I am aspiring for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) this time. I've disciplined myself a lot to be able to do that. My sugar level didn't go up. I didn't have manas this time unlike with Matt's. But if Luke's position is really breech then I'm a likely candidate for CS again.
Oh well, let's just wait and see. As long as he comes out safe and healthy, whatever the Lord's will...so be it...

Take a Look at Luke...
Last Feb 14, a 4D ultrasound was conducted to check on our 2nd baby, Luke at FortMed Medical Clinic in Makati.

At first, we couldn't see his face because he was angled with his back towards the ultrasound camera. So they asked me to walk for 10 minutes. He changed position after but was quite elusive because his hands were all over his face. After sometime, voila! We were able to take a peek on him.

I guess he resembles Matt.
But then it was found out that he has loose cord coil. The cord was over his shoulders. Kindly pray that he'll be ok inside my womb. Thank you so much!

And Our Second Baby Is...

It's been a long time since my last post. I miss blogging!
Anyway, Happy New Year to all! Been busy the holidays.
I had a Congenital Anomaly Scan last week. It's a kind of pelvic ultrasound where the baby is scanned if his organs are developing well. We're happy to know that our second baby is growing ok in my tummy.
Plus, we knew the gender already! And we're having another baby BOY!
We've been praying for a baby girl this time but I believe the Lord knows so well that He gave us another boy. We shall name him Luke. We purposely passed on Mark kasi baka magtuluy-tuloy yung 4 evangelists and maging boy lahat ang kids namin, hehe!
Before the ultrasound, Matt changed his mind and told us that he wanted a baby brother. He is super happy because we're having another boy. Para siguro playmate. We always tell him to be a good Kuya to Luke, to lend his toys to his brother and even the clothes that are small for him already.
When he is wearing something that's too fit for him, he would take it off and tell me, "Mimi, kay Luke na lang 'tong damit ko, kasi masikip na." That's cute and sweet. (",)
